Fantail is an album by the Japanese noise musician Merzbow. It is named after the fantail breed of pigeon, which Masami Akita raises.The cover illustration includes part of the engraving "The Temple of Music" by Robert Fludd. The same engraving was used on the cover of Barbed Wire Maggots by Borbetomagus, who Akita has named as one of his favorite bands. The fantail illustration was reused on the cover of Kujakubato, the rear of Peace for Animals, and the background of the Merzbow website.
