Farkas Bolyai (Hungarian: [ˈfɒr.kɒʃ ˈboː.jɒ.i]; 9 February 1775 – 20 November 1856; also known as Wolfgang Bolyai in Germany) was a Hungarian mathematician, mainly known for his work in geometry.
