The former British Consulate, is located at 53 Po Xijindu Ancient Street facing Daxi Road and Boxian Road, Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province, China. In 1864, Britain constructed the consulate on Yuntai Mountain, which belonged to the British Concession in Zhenjiang at that time. In 1888, the British Consulate was burned down in local riots. From 1889 to 1890, it was rebuilt, occupying an area of 17 acres.
