Francis Griffith Newlands Memorial Fountain is a historic fountain, located at Chevy Chase Circle, Northwest, Washington, D.C., in the Chevy Chase neighborhood. The fountain honors Francis G. Newlands, a U.S. Senator and founder of Chevy Chase, Maryland, and an outspoken white supremicist who lobbied for adoption of his "white plank" for constitutional amendments to forever disenfranchise African-Americans and prohibit immigration to non-whites.
