Fred Greaves VC (16 May 1890 – 11 June 1973) was an English recipient of the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy that can be awarded to British and Commonwealth forces.Greaves was born on 16 May 1890 in Killamarsh, a town in north-east Derbyshire.
