Gaia Gear is a Japanese science fiction serial novel written by Yoshiyuki Tomino with mechanical design by Ito Mamoru and based on Tomino's Gundam series. It was first released in Newtype magazine from April 1987 to December 1991, and compiled in five novels released from September 1988 until April 1992.The novel was later adapted into a 26-episode radio drama that was broadcast on Japan's Nippon Cultural Broadcasting station from April 12 to October 4, 1992.
