Gen Olson (born May 20, 1938) is a Minnesota politician and a former member of the Minnesota Senate representing District 33, which included portions of Hennepin and Wright counties in the western Twin Cities metropolitan area. A Republican, she was first elected to the Senate in 1982, and was re-elected in 1986, 1990, 1992, 1996, 2000, 2002, 2006 and 2010. She served as an assistant minority leader from 1989 to 1990, and from 1993 to 2004.
