Ghatotkacha (c. 280 – c. 319 CE) was a pre-imperial Gupta king in northern India, the son of Maharaja Sri-Gupta, who started the Gupta dynasty. His reign is considered insignificant and he is best known as the father of Chandragupta I, the first Gupta emperor.
