The Großer Hafner (3,076) is a mountain of the Ankogel Group in the High Tauern, Austria. It is the easternmost 3,000m mountain (with at least 300m prominence) in the High Tauern, and also in the entire Alps.The mountain has three glaciers, with the largest on its north face. The mountain is not a particularly hard climb, but it is long. Most climbs start from the Maltatal valley. A secondary peak, Kleiner Hafner (3018m), lies just to the south east.
