Halfeli (Kurdish: Xelfelî‎) is a belde (town) in the central district (Iğdır) of Iğdır Province, Turkey. It is situated at 39°53′N 43°59′E. The distance to Iğdır is 7 kilometres (4.3 mi). The population of Halfeli is 7540 as of 2011. The settlement was founded by Halfeli tribe during the Ottoman Empire era. But after Russians captured the province after the Russo-Turkish War (1877-1878) the tribe escaped to Iran.
