Hans Schellong (13 May 1920 – 22 May 1944) was a highly decorated Oberleutnant in the Luftwaffe during World War II, and a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Hans Schellong was killed on 22 May 1944 over Mariupol, Ukraine. He was posthumously awarded the Knight's Cross on 8 August 1944.
