Henry "Harry" Varley (25 November 1867 — 21 November 1915 (aged 47)) born in Cleckheaton/Bradford (see note), was a rugby union and professional rugby league footballer of the 1890s, playing representative level rugby union (RU) for England, and at club level for Liversedge, as a Scrum-half, i.e. number 9, and playing club level rugby league (RL) for Oldham, as a Stand-off/Five-eighth, or Scrum-half/Halfback, i.e. number 6, or, 7, alongside Arthur Lees from 1895.
