Henichesk Raion (Ukrainian: Генічеський район) is one of the 18 administrative raions (a district) of the Kherson Oblast in southern Ukraine. Its administrative center is located in the city of Henichesk.The raion has a 10% Crimean Tartar minority (in 2 villages even 50%). This minority is a result of a 1967 Soviet decree that restored Crimean Tartar rights that they had lost during the 1944 deportation of the Crimean Tatars.
