The Hochalmspitze (3,360 metres (11,020 ft)) is the highest mountain of the Ankogel Group in the High Tauern range of Austria. Like most of the High Tauern, the mountain is formed of granite, and many unusual rock formations can be found on its slopes. The mountain lies at the Eastern end of the High Tauern range, and a ridge connects it to Ankogel, the second highest mountain in its group.
