The Holden Commodore is a car manufactured since 1978 by Holden. Manufacturing of the Commodore takes place in Australia and formerly in New Zealand. In the mid-1970s, Holden replaced the long-serving Kingswood and Premier nameplates with a smaller, Opel-based model re-engineered for Australian conditions.
