Quintus Horatius Flaccus (December 8, 65 BC – November 27, 8 BC), known in the English-speaking world as Horace (/ˈhɒrəs/ or /ˈhɔrəs/), was the leading Roman lyric poet during the time of Augustus (also known as Octavian).
