If I Were for Real (Chinese: 假如我是真的; pinyin: jiǎrú wǒ shì zhēn de) is a 1981 Taiwanese drama film directed by Wang Toon. The film was selected as the Taiwanese entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 54th Academy Awards, but was not accepted as a nominee. It won Golden Horse Awards in 1981 for the following: the Best Feature Film, Best Actor (Alan Tam), and Best Adapted Screenplay (Chang Yung-hsiang; 張永祥).
