J. D. Considine (born 1957) is an established music critic who has been writing about music professionally since 1977. His work has been published in numerous newspapers and music magazines, and he has contributed to several books. From 1979 to 1996, he wrote for Rolling Stone.He appeared regularly on the VH1 show Four on the Floor which aired from 1994 to 1996, and earned a Cable Ace nomination.
