Jack Fritscher, Ph.D. is an American author, novelist, magazine journalist, gay historian, photographer, videographer, university professor, and social activist known internationally for his fiction and non-fiction analyses of gay popular culture. As a pre-Stonewall gay activist, he was an out and founding member of the American Popular Culture Association. Fritscher is the founding San Francisco editor-in-chief of Drummer Magazine.
