Janet McTeer, OBE (born 5 August 1961) is an English actress. She is a Tony Award, Olivier Award and Drama Desk Award winner. She is also a two-time Academy Award nominee. She was made an OBE in the 2008 Queen's Birthday Honours.McTeer made her professional stage debut in 1984, and in 1986 was nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Newcomer for The Grace of Mary Traverse. In 1997, she won an Olivier Award and a Tony Award, for her role as Nora in A Doll's House.
