The Jefferson County Courthouse is a historic county courthouse in Birmingham, Alabama, county seat of Jefferson County, Alabama. It was built in 1929 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.It was designed by Chicago architectural firm Holabird & Root, who also designed Soldier Field. A prior courthouse was demolished in 1937.The courthouse sits across Linn Park from Birmingham's City Hall.
