Jesse Augustus Gove (December 5, 1824 – June 27, 1862) was an American soldier and lawyer, noteworthy for his military career and his role as a colonel in the American Civil War. After graduating from the Military Academy at Norwich, Vermont, Gove served in the Mexican-American War. After the war, he left the army and became a lawyer in New Hampshire, then returned to army service in 1855.
