Jiaying University (simplified Chinese: 嘉应大学; traditional Chinese: 嘉應大學; pinyin: Jiāyīng Dàxué) is a public provincial undergraduate university based in Meizhou City in Guangdong Province, southern China.The university grew out of the Women's Normal School established in 1913 and received its name because Meizhou was known as Jiaying during the Qing Dynasty (1644–1911).
