James Matthew "Jim" Connor, born on Monday, May 11, 1863, in Port Jervis, New York, was an American professional Major League Baseball player. Connor was 29 years old when he broke into the big leagues on July 11, 1892, with the Chicago Colts. He did not play in the majors again until 1897. Connor's last game was August 9, 1899 with the Chicago Orphans. He played in the minors from 1887 through 1908, including a stint as player/manager in the Hudson River League in 1907.
