Joseph Michael Smith (born March 22, 1984) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the New York Mets and Cleveland Indians. He is 6 feet 2 inches (1.88 m) and weighs 215 pounds (98 kg). He attended Wright State University and was drafted by the Mets in the third round of the 2006 amateur draft. He was the second player from the 2006 draft to make it to the major leagues.
