John 'Tull' Dunne, Irish Gaelic footballer, coach and administrator, 26 December 1911 - 12 May 1990.Born in Brackernagh, Ballinasloe, County Galway, Dunne was the son of William Dunne, a carpenter, and Katie Donelan. He was educated at the local Christian Brothers school. After he left school he obtained employment in the town post office. Dunne became a member of St Grellan's GFC where he played midfield and as centre-forward.
