John Allen Roush is a figure in American higher education and currently the president of Centre College. An Ohio native, Roush graduated from Kettering Fairmont High School and holds a bachelor's degree in English from Ohio University's Honors College (where he graduated summa cum laude) and a Master's and PhD from Miami University. Roush began his career at Miami University as an assistant football coach, later to become Executive Assistant to the President in 1976.
