John P. Erickson (1826 – August 2, 1907) was a Union Navy sailor in the American Civil War and a recipient of the U.S. military's highest decoration, the Medal of Honor, for his actions during the Wilmington Campaign.Born in 1826 in London, Erickson immigrated to the U.S. and was living in Brooklyn when he joined the Navy.
