John Valentine Carruthers (born 1958 in Wortley, South Yorkshire) is an English musician, guitarist and composer. He played with Clock DVA in the early 80s and then became the guitarist of Siouxsie and the Banshees in May 1984.With Siouxsie and the Banshees, he recorded The Thorn EP (1984) and the Tinderbox (1986) and Through the Looking Glass (1987) albums. He left the band in January 1987.
