Joseph Brevard (July 19, 1766 – October 11, 1821) was a U.S. Representative from South Carolina.Born in Iredell County, North Carolina, Brevard entered the Continental Army when still a boy. He was commissioned lieutenant in the North Carolina Line in 1782 and served throughout the Revolutionary War.He moved to Camden, South Carolina, and became sheriff of Camden District (1789–1791). He served as commissioner in equity October 14, 1791.
