Kaspiysk (Russian: Каспи́йск; Lak: Ккасппи; Dargin; Lezgian; Avar: Каспийск), until 1947 known as Dvigatelstroy (Дви́гательстро́й), is a city in the Republic of Dagestan, Russia, located on the Caspian Sea, 18 kilometers (11 mi) southeast of Makhachkala. Population: 100,129 (2010 Census); 77,650 (2002 Census); 60,069 (1989 Census); 43,000 (1972).
