Kerakat is a town of the Jaunpur District in northern India with a population of approximately 13,500. It is situated near the Gomati River which helps the land around the town stay very fertile. It is very well connected via road to the cities of Azamgarh, Jaunpur and Varanasi. Varanasi Airport (Sri Lal Bahadur Shastri Airport) is 30 km away. It is well connected by the railways as the Audhiar-Jaunpur and Jalalganj(JLL) railway stations connect to Lucknow.
