The Kościuszko Uprising was an uprising against Imperial Russia and the Kingdom of Prussia led by Tadeusz Kościuszko in the Commonwealth of Poland and the Prussian partition in 1794. It was a failed attempt to liberate Poland, Belarus and Lithuania from Russian influence after the Second Partition of Poland (1793) and the creation of the Targowica Confederation.
