Kutno [ˈkutnɔ] is a town located in central Poland with 48,000 inhabitants (2005) and an area of 33.6 km2 (13.0 sq mi). Situated in the Łódź Voivodeship (since 1999), previously part of Płock Voivodeship (1975–1998), it is the capital of Kutno County.Kutno was historically the center of a large Jewish community. In 1900, 10,356 Jews lived there.
