Lawrence William "Laurie"/"Lawrie" Thacker (born 19 or 20 March 1909 — died 2 March 1952 (aged 42)) born in Sculcoates district, was an English professional rugby league footballer of the 1930s and '40s, playing at representative level for England, and British Empire, and at club level for Hull, as a Prop, i.e. number 8 or 10, during the era of contested scrums, he died in Driffield.
