Major General Lindsay Merritt Inglis CB, CBE, DSO & Bar, MC, ED (16 May 1894 – 17 March 1966) was a New Zealand military leader, lawyer and magistrate.He served on the Western Front during the First World War with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force. He returned to New Zealand in 1919 and was a solicitor and barrister in Timaru. He volunteered for service during the Second World War, and commanded the 4th Infantry Brigade in the campaigns in Crete and North Africa.
