Elżbieta "Lisa" Appignanesi OBE (née Borensztejn; born 4 January 1946) is a British writer, novelist, and campaigner for free expression. She is a former President of English PEN and Chair of the Trustees of the Freud Museum in London. She is Visiting Professor, Department of English, King's College London, and holds a Wellcome Trust People Award for her public series, hosted by King's College London, on The Brain and the Mind.
