Lowndes County (pronounced Lounds) is a county located in the U.S. state of Georgia. As of the 2010 Census the population was 109,233. The county seat is Valdosta. The county was created December 23, 1825.Lowndes County is included in the Valdosta, GA Metropolitan Statistical Area.
