The MV Hyak is a Super-class ferry operated by Washington State Ferries.As of 2014, she is assigned to the Anacortes-San Juan Islands route. The Hyak was built in 1967 at The National Steel and Shipbuilding Company shipyard in San Diego. Unlike her sisters the Hyak has not had her cabin refurbished. She is still a steady runner however, being one of the most trouble-free boats of class. Hyak is chinook jargon for "speedy".The Hyak regularly serves the Anacortes-San Juan Islands route.
