Mark Arthur Reed (born January 4, 1955) is an American physicist and professor at Yale University. He has made contributions in the area of quantum dots, electronic transport in nanoscale and mesoscopic systems, artificially structured materials and devices, and molecular electronics. He is the author of more than 170 publications and 25 patents, and has given over 250 invited talks.Reed received his Ph.D. from Syracuse University in 1983.
