Mark van Loosdrecht (born 1959) is a Dutch professor of Environmental Technology and Biotechnology at Delft University of Technology. He was a winner of the 2014 Spinoza Prize.Since 2004 Van Loosdrecht is member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences. In 2012 he was nominated for the European Inventor Award in the Research category for a water purification technology. In 2014 he was one of four winners of the Dutch Spinoza Prize and received a 2,5 million euro grant.
