Mary Harney (born 11 March 1953) is an Irish former politician. She served as Tánaiste from 1997 to 2006, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment from 1997 to 2004, and as Minister for Health and Children from 2004 to 2011. She also served as a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin South–West and Dublin Mid–West constituencies from 1981 to 2011.She was leader of the Progressive Democrats party between 1993 and 2006 and again from 2007 to 2008.
