"Master of the Universe" is the second and final single from the album Freaks by British band Pulp, released in 1987. B-side "Silence" is the only track from this period of Pulp's career not to feature on the Masters of the Universe compilation. It was left off at the request of singer Jarvis Cocker, who stated "I banned it from going on the Fire compilation, because it's terrible - I couldn't live with it being out."
