Merrill Mueller (January 27, 1916 – November 30, 1980) was a journalist whose reporting included breaking the story of Hitler's invasion of Poland. He worked for numerous news agencies including the Independent News Service and NBC. While working for NBC he covered, along with other news anchors, the assassination of John F. Kennedy.Mueller was born in 1916 in New York City. He attended public schools in Connecticut before taking one year at Springfield College.
