Michelle Manning is an American film director, producer and television director.Manning attended USC Film School. She began her career working with John Hughes, producing the films Sixteen Candles (1984) and The Breakfast Club (1985). In 1986, she made her directorial debut with the film Blue City based on the Ross Macdonald novel of the same name. The film starred Judd Nelson and Ally Sheedy and remains the only film she has directed to date.
