The Short-tailed pipefish, (Microphis brachyurus), is a species of fish in the Syngnathidae family. It is found from most Oceanian and Asian countries such as southern India, Sri Lanka, Japan, Nicobar Islands, and few parts of African countries such as Kenya, Madagascar, Côte d'Ivoire, Mauritius. The distribution in USA and Puerto Rico is not yet confirmed. The species measured 19.0 centimetres (7.5 in) SL in length.
