Milka is a traditional brand of chocolate confection that originated in Switzerland in 1825 and has been manufactured internationally by US confectionary company Mondelēz International (formerly known as Kraft Foods) since 1990. For more than a 100 years, Milka has been mainly produced in Lörrach, Germany, producing about 140,000 tonnes of chocolate per year (2012). It is sold in bar form and in a variety of specialty shapes during Easter and Christmas.
