Nag River is a river flowing through the city of Nagpur in Maharashtra, India. It is known for providing etymology for the name Nagpur.Forming a part of Kanhan-Pench river system, Nag river originates in Ambazari lake and confluences to Pili River before pouring into Kanhan river. Recently various efforts are being made to bring Nag river into city's heritage list, where it got knocked out in 2001. The river serves as a drainage for the city of Nagpur.
