The Nunamiut or Nunatamiut people (Iñupiaq Nunataaġmiut) are semi-nomadic inland Inupiat, located in northern and northwestern Alaskan interior, mostly around the Anaktuvuk Pass, Alaska, whose ancestors date back hundreds of years.The name Nunatamiut means "people of the land."
