Oosterend (53°5′N 4°53′E) is a town in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Texel, and lies about 17 km northeast of Den Helder.Oosterend is the second largest village on the island. Although it's situated further from the sea than Oudeschild it's the hometown of most fishermen on Texel. Oosterend is built around a church called Maartenskerk ("Saint Martin's Church"). The oldest parts of the church were built in the 11th century.
